Todaytec, as a multinational enterprise dedicated to the production and sale of thermal transfer ribbons, is also a pioneer of sustainable development in the TTR industry. While emphasizing corporate revenue growth, we have consistently adhered to the principles of sustainable development and implemented sustainable development strategies. Over the long term, Todaytec has actively taken a series of actions to ensure that our business operates within the framework of sustainable development.
·Use less PET plastic products
Todaytec is developing a new generation of TTR ribbons with 4.2μm PET film. Each roll can reduce the use of plastic up to 6.7%. For thermal transfer ribbons, reducing the thickness of the base film is not only an adjustment of production accessories, but also a comprehensive innovation of the entire TTR production process. However, for sustainable development, this is clearly worth it.
·What benefits will this change bring?
For the annual demand of using 1200 standard jumbo rolls size (910mm x 17000m) of thermal transfer ribbons, replacing with 4.2μm PET film ribbon is equivalent to saving 9300kg of plastic, equivalent to the amount of plastic used in 279000 plastic bottles.
Thinner PET products are used in the Todaytec TTR series now: TDW130H
·Use Cleaner Energy
Photovoltaic power generation is a technology that converts solar energy into electricity, effectively reducing reliance on traditional fossil fuels, reducing greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide, and protecting the environment and human health.
100% conversion applied in production and daily life
The current annual photovoltaic power generation of Todaytec is 720000 kilowatt hours, equivalent to 7.3% of our total electricity consumption, which is increasing every year. Converting this data into coal combustion is equivalent to burning 88.5 tons of standard coal less each year, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 260 tons per year.
·Sustainable cardboard core
The ribbons produced by Todaytec that you use are all sourced from sustainably managed forests. We guarantee that all materials you use are FSC certified.
·PET waste film recycling
PET plastic film plays an important role as a substrate layer in the production of ribbons, and the waste film generated by Todaytec has been minimized.
100% Recycling
According to local regulations and participating recycling activities, Todaytec film waste will be destroyed through the Energy Recovery and Incineration (lER) process, which can generate electricity.
·Production waste gas recovery
Solvent is a key component used in the manufacturing process of thermal transfer ribbons. After the drying and evaporation stage, the solvent is collected and processed through two regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTO) to generate thermal energy for use by the factory, thereby reducing natural gas and electricity consumption.
More than 90% of the waste gas generated during the coating production process is recycled into the daily use of the factory. After combustion, it generates approximately 2.1 million calories of heat, equivalent to generating 2440 kilowatt hours of electricity per hour.
·Recovery of solid particles
The dust particles captured by the dust adsorption device can be reused or recycled, thereby reducing waste emissions and resource waste.
We use a variety of dust removal methods (electrostatic precipitation & spray type dust remover) in the production process, so that our dust removal effect can reach more than 90%. While effectively reducing air, we can also effectively capture and remove dust particles, avoid damage and blockage of dust to production equipment, and reduce equipment maintenance and cleaning costs.
Comply with environmental laws and regulations
Todaytec adheres to strict environmental regulations and conscientiously produces products.
·ISO14001 Environmental Standard Certification: passed International Environmental Management Standards
·RoHS: an important environmental regulation established by the European Union has established limits on the content of six harmful substances allowed in electronic and electrical products, including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers
·REACH: passed REACH233 toxic and harmful substance testing
·CA Prop 65: passed CA Prop 65 that do not contain arsenic, lead.benzene, formaldehyde, etc
·PFAS: passed fluorinated organic compound detection
In the end
We have also made commitments in terms of corporate social responsibility. Todaytec actively participates in various charitable activities and community projects, supporting environmental protection and initiatives for sustainable development. We maintain close relationships with our suppliers and customers, encouraging them to take environmentally friendly and sustainable actions as well, to jointly contribute to the healthy development of the industry and create a more sustainable future!
